First thing I would like to say is please get over your dislike about Syracuse Uniforms. I'll give you 30 sec to process my request........
Ok, now that we are over that portion my idea is simple. We all believe that we should a better culture with our fan base and put more butts in the seats. We each want to see the stadium packed and "The Wave" going and see wins all season long. It's enjoyable to come out of the Dome, with our ear ringing from all the noise and screaming from the fans. I feel that a step we should take to rekindle some of this atmosphere, yes this is a small step, would be releasing a schedule with associated uniforms for each game. Now bare with me here. We have multiple colors (predominately blue right now, but orange is apart of our uniform this season) and many of the big schools tend to release what colors they will wear each game so the fans will dress accordingly to the jersey on that day. I chose to show you each one of Oregon's schedule and how they do it. I can also point out Penn State does this when they have a "White Out" game, (which I have had the privilege of being apart of). It's a fun and interesting way of connecting the Football program to the fans (did I really associate Penn State and fun in two sentences?). It's really impressive to see. Again, don't argue your hatred for the uniforms because frankly I don't care and that's not my point. Is it worth a shot? Don't make the argument "We should only be wearing Orange cause that's our team color nothing else. Go AMERICAKAH!" or "We should only wear the Donovan McNabb era uniforms because that's the only one I like." Think about it. It's pretty cool seeing the entire stadium in orange or blue or white or even gray if the day calls for it. We would know what colors to wear as fans. Yes, I understand it won't be perfect and would take time and some people will never listen or read the schedule. How cool would it be to have a "White out game" against LSU or BLUE out or ORANGE Out? The inter-web can help us out by posting the information on fan boards like ours and frequented sites like syracuse.com. We could blare it from the mountain tops on the radio stations (I believe Galaxy Communications, TK99 and 100.9KRock owned stations, I believe they already air football and basketball games, could announce and hype up each game). I am just spitballing and quite frankly I need me some 'Cuse football. I know this may have been brought up in other threads and frankly I don't have the time to look for it. Let the commenting commence!
