Unique Aspect of MCW and CJ Staying/Leaving I Haven't Seen Discussed

wat

The ACC's level of basketball is already being mirrored by our level of posting, mine included. We are slowly sinking.

Speaking of which, I hope none of the teams we have to play twice are the actual good ones. I'm trying to focus on the positives :)

I'm not going to say that this is going to be a major factor, but if either MCW or CJ is on the fence on his decision, do you think the possibility of playing in the ACC factors in?

No. Once you get past the top 2 the rest of the schools are has beens or never wases, especially the latter.

C.J. is going to do his due diligence and evaluating his situation unless he gets the green light that he is a lock for the 1st round I don't think he will go. I think he is 90% returning and playing @Maryland won't be a major factor for him.
The only 1 in 10 chance that Michael Carter-Williams returns next year is if his parents want him to graduate. I don't think playing @Boston College will have any impact considering we played @Providence which is less than an hour away from Boston these 2 past years. Michael Carter-Williams isn't going to comeback because of the allure of playing in the ACC when the Big East has been the better conference these past 5 years.
The chance both of them return is 5%, the chance Fair returns only is 90%, the chance only MCW returns 0%, the chance neither returns 10%.
I think cj coming back is closer to 55% then 90%. You have to remember you aren't guaranteed to increase your draft stock. Many recently have actually decreased it. There is no argument next years draft will infinitely be better. He may ultimately be projected to go higher this year no matter how good he is next season. In fact I think it's z pretty good chance. You also have to consider that next year CJ will be "the guy". Defenses will be keying on him every game . It may be tought to duplicate this season, especially the buzz he currently has going for him. I'm scared if he actually sits down and really thinks about this he will indeed leave.
