Yeah, playing a zone defense you would think there would be less fouls.I think it shows that we generally foul less than most teams because of the zone and our style of play but when Higgens and Burr ref us we foul more go figure.
amount of fouls.
Understood. However, I do think Pitt should be at the top no matter how the game is called.Oh. I'm not sure this is valid, but if you sort by fouls per game we are way down on the list. Probably lower 30th percentile in terms of the number of fouls per game called by Burr on SU in our games that he has reffed.
There is a lot that goes into the way any particular game is called. I'm not sure you can statistically compare one game to another and take much of anything away from the number of fouls called. People even like to complain when one team has a significantly higher number of fouls called against it than the other team within the same game, but in reality it may be valid if they are in fact committing more fouls.

That Saturday/Monday away series with ND and Cinci is going to be a tough 1-2 punch.
Yes, that too.Oh I get it because Cincy likes to punch people.
This weekend the only thing I am worried about is how big the spread will be for Prov and Pitt.
...but I'm a little nervous about ND/Cinncy back to back next weekend.
