Upcoming schedule

I think it shows that we generally foul less than most teams because of the zone and our style of play but when Higgens and Burr ref us we foul more go figure.

Yeah, playing a zone defense you would think there would be less fouls.

amount of fouls.

Oh. I'm not sure this is valid, but if you sort by fouls per game we are way down on the list. Probably lower 30th percentile in terms of the number of fouls per game called by Burr on SU in our games that he has reffed.

There is a lot that goes into the way any particular game is called. I'm not sure you can statistically compare one game to another and take much of anything away from the number of fouls called. People even like to complain when one team has a significantly higher number of fouls called against it than the other team within the same game, but in reality it may be valid if they are in fact committing more fouls.

Understood. However, I do think Pitt should be at the top no matter how the game is called.

Yeah it does seem amazing that Pitt wouldn't be called for more fouls as it does seem that committing fouls is a part of their game plan.

Seems Pitt, Lville and Marq should all lead the BE in fouls called against them every season by a pretty good margin and yet they never seem to.

I think ND has won 28 or 29 games in a row at home. Even though they look like they are down this season because of their record, they really haven't lost to any bad teams. They played a really tough schedule before BE play. That game will be a significant challenge.

That Saturday/Monday away series with ND and Cinci is going to be a tough 1-2 punch.

Oh I get it because Cincy likes to punch people.

Can't think past Providence right now -- you know, the team that squeaked by Louisville by 31 points!

This weekend the only thing I am worried about is how big the spread will be for Prov and Pitt.

...but I'm a little nervous about ND/Cinncy back to back next weekend.

Don't write off Pitt. They still have the same guards who carved us up for the past 2 years. Dixon can't possibly keep on losing. He's too good a coach. I won't count that as a win until after the final buzzer sounds.
