Gooch is such a disappointment. Donovan was embarrassingly passive tonight, too. Had multiple opportunities to create scoring chances by putting a shot on frame but tried to get too cute every single time. Just put it on frame, play for a rebound goal if nothing else.

Herculez Gomez looked good again, though. We really missed Fabian Johnson tonight.

When he came in tonight, I half-jokingly said, "Well, there goes our cleansheet." Sure enough, he got torched a few minutes later on the goal. It's like sometimes he goes completely blank about where he is on the field and where he needs to be. He used to at least be really good in the air defensively but has seemingly lost that ability since the ACL tear. Now he's just a defender who can't really defend all that well.

I thought Torres did pretty well tonight, but he wouldn't able to push as far up the wing like he did against a quality opponent who would have the weapons to effectively counterattack. Definitely need Fabian Johnson back. I hope that some quality backs come into the national pool in the next few years.

This game was an absolute embarrassment. A complete catastrophe. Anything short of 5-0 is unacceptable.

I'm of the opinion that he should never wear a U.S. jersey again. I felt that after he was responsible for 2 of Brazil's goals a week back.

Torres' injury wasn't serious, luckily. Who's gonna play left back Tuesday? Boca? Parkhurst?
Coulda used Lichaj and Ream over Gooch.

Exactly, their keeper got points for bravery but he couldn't hang on to anything. They should have shot from distance more. The rebound goals would have come in bunches, if they don't score to begin with on the long shot.

I was screaming that all game. Both goals in the run of play were on broken plays! Just shoot!

I'll throw Beckerman on that list. I don't see what he brings. We have enough far more competent defensive midfielders. He doesn't distribute well enough, for me.
