I agree, and that is after a renegotiated contract and a 10-3 season. The 44th spot is Syracuse stepping up and paying "big" money for a coach that everyone wanted to keep and extend at that time.

And that is fine, we just need to sell coaches on things other than maximizing earnings. Foremost among them would be stability and patience.
