USMNT 2025

I don't know why people are down on Agyemang . He is doing a ton of work by himself. We don't really have a player that threatens any D and creates space if CP isnt on the field. Pepi creates some chances because he moves well but he does little with the ball itself when under pressure. Agyemang is getting balls in spots and playing physical, he allows us to pass over the top. He may show even more when the 3-4 other dangerous guys are all together on one team.

He's fine for the Gold Cup but at a WC level he doesn't have the touch or tactical awareness to do anything. Hope to be proven wrong.

It's so weird to me, because we've had 3 or 4 big physical guys come in to lead the line these last few years, going back to Berhalter I, and then they just disappear.

Darryl Dike, Jordan Pefok, Haji Wright, Flo Balogun - where are you?

Perhaps this is a hot take but I would try Weah at CF. He makes excellent runs and can score goals. US counters a lot and I personally don't think they need a very physical holdup CF.

Elite teams will bunker vs US so players with great movement should be priority.

The next game is Sunday night against Costa Rica at 7 pm on Fox.

They really need to win this tournament. It would put pressure on all the European club players to step it up and be more committed. Like Reyna - he doesn't have a team, so he doesn't get invited to camp anymore.

Reyna is at a career crossroads. He needs to drop down a level and frankly abandon his parents for career advice and change agencies. He needs to fight on his own.

He's a pampered daddy's boy. He doesn't want to play for a lower level team, but the fact is, he almost never plays because of injury or attitude.

Speaking of which, I'm disappointed that Weah turned down the move from Juventus to Nottingham Forest. NF was a good team last year, and really needs a new winger. He would have played in the best league in the world. These US kids who made Europe early in their careers have too much ego.

Yeah Weah clearly is not part of Juve plans. The issue as you know is the longer you wait and poo poo new destinations, the greater chance he'll be loaned or sold to someone late that may not be a dynamite fit.

Poch has been rumored to have interviewed for the Brentford job. He has since denied it.

Every game I watch, I feel happy because I had a feeling that Berhalter was not the problem...

Oh, he was a problem.

Just one problem in a situation with many
The biggest problem is we have zero superstars who have the ability, personality and desire to carry the team other than Pulisic and even he pales in comparison to the US soccer greats of the past. Pair Dempsey's attitude with Pulisic's skills and you have a truly elite world class player.

We have players with more technical skill and athletic skill than ever as evidenced by the resumes of these guys and their transfer values. But we are missing the guys with the cajonesv to carry the team.

Next summer I see us getting out of the group stage and then losing in the first or second round of the knockouts to the first euro team we face per usual.

The Dutch put down the blueprint. Force the USA to breakdown a tight defensive block (generally we can't) and then counter on them.
