USMNT 2025

It is going to be weird without guys like Pulisic, McKennie, Desi, Mesah and Weah.

Happy Miles is on the roster. Hope he gets some playing time.

Looks more like the roster for a player non-release date game against a non-descript country from the former Yugoslavia.

It's like hiring back Berhalter killed the publicity for the program. Don't underestimate the death of Grant Wahl for ESPN, too. He was our biggest cheerleader / expert. It's like these are our last competitive games before the World Cup, and nobody freaking cares. Poch has to be really disappointed.

There's basically no meaningful games other than the World Cup. Qualifying was an important part of the program and with the expansion to 48 it has become a moot point.

USA really needs to become a regular participant in Copa America.

Disappointing results paired with now the political tensions tied directly to the World Cup and Olympics as well has attention at what feels like an all time low.

Badly need to show up in a big way at the Gold Cup and more importantly get a result and some momentum against the Swiss this week in the tune up.

Its been a really disappointing stretch now going back to Berhalter coming back briefly to the unbalanced results and performances under Poch.

I don’t understand why we aren’t. We need the competition with those teams

Yep. Honestly time to dump Concacaf and combine it with Conmebol and proceed forward accordingly. With the expansion to 48 that should still leave opportunities for the Central American countries. Build out a Champions league of the Americas at the club level as well.

Swiss putting on a clinic so far

Is Matt Turner still the best we got?!?

The back line is poo, but my goodness.

Yeesh.

At this rate we will be massively embarrassed next year. Not more other attention obsessed individuals will do I’m sure as events get closer and underway.

Tough all around. 1st half was tough. I do think we will fair better with more of our A players but not sure I like how we build up

Knowing just this side from Pulisic makes it look bad. I would think get the players in that have started as often as you can. Just a guess but Poch drew a line in the sand. It seems it may have backfired

Well, Landon Donovan, in particular is acting like an @ss. This is the guy who didn't skip a tournament to heal up like Pulisic is doing. He took off 4 1/2 months - that's like 2 or 3 international cycles - in the middle of trying to qualify for the World Cup.

There's no juice in the program right now. I was a diehard and never missed a friendly on TV for a very long time.

Now there's no reason for me to watch until they have a WC tuneup and the games next summer.

I literally do not understand what has happened to this team.

The top players other than Adams don't really care (only my perception). There's no struggle anymore I feel like. Not enough fight.

Keeping this neutral but I don’t think it’s off base to say that the state of the country and how much division there is doesn’t lend itself to loads of pride at the moment as there is more conflict and anger floating around than much else. Especially when you consider we have numerous dual nationals to go with. Obviously there’s much larger issues with the team and program but the state of things doesn’t help the cause.

That's fair. We're not building towards anything. The WC is next summer and there's a new coach. Every top player should be with the team. There's not enough pride.

Argentina had clinched qualification and there's Messi flying to South America at 37-38 years old. Came off the bench and started the next game. Will fly back and play club world cup.

I'm not excited because I just see the US being absolutely trounced on home soil next year.

Everything seems so divisive right now. LD is a bit much but there is some merit to the conversation

I don't think Messi has been injured for the last 6 months.
