Everyone says how bad UVA is, but what would our record be with their schedule? The same with probably 1 or 2 more blowout losses...
Their wrs are going to be incredibly tough for us to handle. Severin will catch everything thrown to him, and Thorpe was beating Pitt all day deep, dropped a long td and another was 2yrds overthrown, but he was blasting past Pitt's secondary. This is a must win for us, but same can be said for them too...

Spread seems fair based on us getting our arses kicked by a middling AAC team. UVA has had a brutal schedule. They were horrible against Boise but much better against much better competition than we have played. We better get our act together fast, kids

If this game was at home I would feel better. But at UVA and coming off our performance at USF, I just don't have much confidence in this one. So the line doesn't seem that far off IMO.

I think you're right. We lost badly to a lowly-regarded team & program. The positive spin we got after a respectable showing against LSU went the other way bigtime. We'll show better next week against Virginia but need to play like we belong if this season is to be a success. We got pushed around yesterday and have to do better with both lines. We need to take charge of the UVA game, not play rope-a-dope hoping that we outlast them. Our defense needs the offense to produce at the beginning of the game, not at halftime.

Not to be overly dramatic, but our season very well may hinge on this game.

The spread does seem high, but it's just a number at this point. I've watched Virginia play, they don't scare me, think they would get throttled by USF too. We need this one, and can win it, but only if they play to win it from the first snap.

They played really well vs LSU. LSU hurt themselves too. So what? No one forgot. It was a factor in many.

uva is 1-4 and barely beat william and mary. Why do you think they are better than USF?

And the only reason the USF game got out of hand was the syracuse was sleep walking through it. The better team got trounced.
