Just saw a message on the VA Hospital’s facebook page stating effective July 17, 2024 - until further notice- parking is limited to first 3 levels only. It doesn’t state a reason, but comments elude to structural problems. Wondering how this might affect parking in 6 weeks?

I know the garage was sold out when my turn came to choose seats and parking. How many levels are there? This could lead to many angry and frustrated STHs.

I parked at the VA garage about a week ago. Lots of areas "coned off". I thought normal summer maintenance. Hopefully it'll be fully operational by Labor Day.

I asked on the VA FB page about Dome events and got no reply. I park there on my VA credentials and wonder if the first game will be a surprise.

Like Mark said this has been going on for a while for maintenance reasons. I'm not sure if they completely closed the upper half so they can speed up the process. I am stuck parking where we tailgate until they get it complete.

Isn’t parking where you tailgate the goal?!

On the VA Parking Passes it states the garage opens for parking 2 hours prior to kickoff. We have learned that it all depends on who is working if they will let you in sooner or not. In SU Athletics emails it mentions parking lots open at 11:30 for tomorrow’s Miami game - does anyone know, does this include the VA Garage? Or do we have to look for parking elsewhere if we choose to do the quad walk and quad tailgate? Thanks!

You should be okay on a Saturday to arrive 3-4 hrs early.

Agree... on Saturdays SU parking areas for the games are supposed to open 4 hours prior to game time. VA should be ok, and included, and your should be good.

Thanks - one Saturday (11/2) the guy would not let us and was very strict and told us to come back. We parked elsewhere.

Thanks - on 11/2, we were told to leave and come back at 10 for the noon kick… last week we were good … fingers crossed for tomorrow!

I assume it is the VAHG: Overall Parking Map 2024 - Syracuse University Athletics It is a football parking garage/place but you need to have the event parking pass too for the 4 hour before.
