Vegas...All things related. Who is going? Mark...tailgate possibility?

I just cancelled the Courtyard by the stadium and booked NYNY Room with a sofa also. That is the only property that came up on Bonvoy this week, although others will slowly come on and I will check those out. I got a senior Bonvoy rate. Troop, I think you said I could take a shuttle from there or from across the street?

Head up the escalator in NYNY, take the walking bridge across the street and you'll jump on the free tram that will take you to either Luxor, or Mandalay Bay/Delano (whichever you prefer). From there, you can follow the masses across the closed down overpass to the parking lots!
I'm sure you can also uber straight to the parking lot as well- Not sure about hotel shuttles

NO. That is what I was looking for. I know you said a tram nearby, so that works. Or if it is 4pm a nice exercise walk as temps will be nice at that time. But eventually Mandaly Bay will come live. They are doing one at a time. But the NY NY room looks nice.

I don't know Elara, but it looks like it's in a good location!

The West Rim of the Grand Canyon is about 2 and a half hour drive I think. I guess the South Rim is way better, but I haven't been there yet. There's a fee for the West Rim, since it's ran by the reservation. Deff something you have to check out if there's time. Could also take a quick helo there, but Su2fans might have all those rented already

Zion National Park is ~2 hours away as well, and is incredible.
Fee at South Rim. I have lifetime Senior Parks pass and use that.

Anyone up for seeing Maroon 5 in residence at MGM Grand? I am solo. Or any other shows for Friday night for those of us who don't need the bail money experience or will get the bail money experience much later at night?

I have a friend in Vegas who told me if we don't want to devote an entire day traveling to Zion that Valley of Fire State Park is a light alternative. Any thoughts?
I'll have the Sunday free... sounds fun. I plan on flying down Friday, and back on Monday. *cough* if I can get in on the tailgate as I was 12 hours too late, (but people drop out) :) Anyhow, I got executive status with National/Emerald so I can get a big SUV rental and Im staying at the Luxor too. I've never seen the Hover Dam either although I flew over it in December when I was at the Venetian for a conference. I haven't seen the Grand Canyon either, but I plan on doing the Williams AZ Train trip etc. My dad just did it last year, and my brother the year before, and my brother hiked the whole south rim... he is a nut.

LOL. In December U2 was playing at the Sphere and I didn't know what it was, but I looked later and the tickets were 500 for cheap seats with a $250 surcharge! The surcharge was almost more than my plane ticket to Vegas from Syracuse. While I didn't have to pay for the hotel/plane etc, those fees are nuts. But, don't think I'm old enough to see Maroon 5. I was in college when they started as a band.

I might be game for that, depending on when I get in to town. I'm not really a bail money experience kinda person either.

Would guess TV won’t want this as a 7:30 local kick with an east coast team involved.
MWC controls...if '24 holds the same...I bet it is CBS 12:30pm or CBS Sports 3:30pm kick Vegas Time

Hmmm, bought 4 all in on TM for $2000. Saw them Wednesday.

Just got back, word of advice on these hotels, you get what you pay for. Was on a work trip so didn't pick the spot, but the interior air system pumping whatever through plus all the smoking is absolutely brutal.

Just booked my room at Park MGM - good to go.
Still not up on Bonvoy. I might switch there when it goes live on Marriott, although I am across the street in a newly renovated room at NYNY with a sofa bed. Larger room.

I think I booked mine on Bonvoy - not sure how.

Be careful folks!
Doesn't seem so bad...

Anyone who booked at the Tropicana...check your reservation. I received an email saying the hotel is closing and being redeveloped this Spring.

Saw this photo in the super bowl thread. Gives a good idea of the walking distance we're dealing with. Looks worse than it is, promise.

Mandalay bay is just out of the picture to the left. From MB, or Luxor, you'll walk from their casinos through some long hallways and come out somewhere by that right corner of the Delano. You can see the overpass that they shut down on game day, you'll walk across that and boom- you're in the parking lots.

If you're taking the free tram, the luxor stop is right at the paws of the sphinx there at the bottom. Mandalay bay has a stop as well.

This movie is the most cleverly disguised rom com of all time.
I’ve been tricked a lot lately. I’ve learned if Katherine Hiegle is in it, don’t watch no matter what funny man is staring beside her.
