Very impressive Cuse stat

Did you know there are only 4 teams that have made at least one Final Four in each of the last four decades (80-89, 90-99, 2000-09; 2010-19). These teams are:

• UNC, Duke, Kansas and Syracuse
• Kentucky came up empty during the 2000-09 timeframe; Michigan State and Uconn empty during the 1980-89 period and UCLA failed to make the final four in 2010-19 (however they just got one last year in 2021)
• If you wanted to extend back another decade 1970-79 we stay in that same 4 grouping since we made it in 1975
• In terms of total number of Final Fours since 1980 we are tied for 7th place with 5 appearances
• UNC leads with 13, Duke with 12, Kentucky 9, Kansas 9, Michigan State 8, UCLA 6

Day2 peaked my interest when I saw him reference Final Fours by decade and I wanted to see how we looked vs others.

This is really a testament to the amazing staying power of Syracuse and the consistency through the years.

Did anyone else see that Saint Louis vs. St. Bonaventure game from Olean earlier this week?

The Bonnies have a banner for every postseason they've played in over the years--NCAA or NIT, first-round exit up to Final Four appearance. (Don't know about the CIT, etc.).

More than a little overkill.

Did anyone else see that Saint Louis vs. St. Bonaventure game from Olean earlier this week?

The Bonnies have a banner for every postseason they've played in over the years--NCAA or NIT, first-round exit up to Final Four appearance. (Don't know about the CIT, etc.).

More than a little overkill.

Yeah, that's ridiculous. I think a FF warrants its own banner, smaller scale than a national title banner of course. But it stops there. No sweet 16, conference tournament or I participated in the playing of college basketball banners.
