victor page gets 10 years

Sometimes life just calls for you to repeatedly punch someone in the face after you throw them in the bath tub. The knife was crossing the line.

What a pyscho.. ef gtown.

I hope this guy gets raped in the pen... often

Judging by this photo, I can say...I'm not surprised. Wow, just wow.

Remember when Georgetown fans made a tshirt highlighting the brushes with the law Syracuse players have had over the years? Yeah, I'm pretty sure this one trumps all of ours.

Not only t-shirts, but dont they have a website dedicated to it as well?

Guess this isn't too shocking.

I've seen Page out and about on the streets of Washington on two separate occasions. Once leaving the municipal courthouse, looking sketchy as anyone down there. Once hanging out on the corner of 14th and Irving in Columbia Heights (pre-gentrification), looking sketchy as anyone up there. But the eye patch brought a small bit of levity to his otherwise troubling appearance.

according to wikipedia, he lost his eye in a shooting in his childhood neighborhood in 2003.

Page was widely known as a "thug" in DC BEFORE he went to Georgetown.

And he was on the same team as Iverson, who was convicted of a felony.

But the most shocking of JT's behavior on that team was when he sold a spot on the team to Brendan Gaughn's father for his son. He was rewarded with a slot machine franchise at the Las Vegas airport. But the deal stunk so much and was so obvious that the GU President insisted that JT not do it.

Geez. I mean even the good eye looks like it's on its last legs.

He's lucky he only got 10 years. I think he should gotten a lot more...idiot!

don't they have two people serving time for killing people?

How do those smug douches over at Hoyasaxa.com rationalize this one?

Exactly Mark. I read this article this morning and was going to post it with a Thread title, "Of course our friends at Hoyasaxa will say this was just a misunderstanding." Got busy at work and never ended up posting it. Is Georgetown playing in the Bracket Buster weekend this year?

Wow this is shocking. ... to nobody on this board.

Who had the 10 years square in the victor page office pool? I had the 25 to life square.

If I read that first link correctly, Georgetown's first ever All American in basketball was a kid from CBA...in none other that Syracuse, NY!! Could that be possible?

Man, we just simply OWN them.

I was at my daughter's soccer practice the other day and saw a woman wearing an SU sweatshirt. So I asked her if she went to Syracuse and she said no, that she taught pre-K in D.C, and they named each of the classrooms after an elite east coast college and she taught in the "Syracuse classroom" (the other two were BC and Johns Hopkins). And I'm like who the heck would allow a classroom in DC to be named after SU. We simply OWN this place.

This raises a lot of questions.

Dont forget about Kenny Samurai Sword Brunner..the Georgetown transfer and his Fresno State teammate, Avondre Jones, behavior resulted in Fresno State Being known as Firearms and Samurai Sword Univeristy (FSU)

So true.

And as Townie knows, everything and I mean EVERYTHING related to Georgetown hoops to this day, still has to be OK'ed by JTII.
