Virginia is ranked #8 because

Which coach out of those 3 has a championship?

Might be a good idea to watch some squads from another conference besides the ACC since you seem to think UVA and Pitt are the sheet. smh

The B1G is strong all over. BE has some good teams. A couple in the SEC. And the Big12 plays their style of up and down the court ball which is fun to watch, but doesn't do all that well in the tourney.

They have UNC tonite Pitt +4 1/2. Take the moneyline. Stumbles early in the season aren't unusual for even great teams. If you like college ball, Cpenny is must watch TV.
I like watching Champennie play when he's not killing us but outside of him pitt is nothing special. I like UNC tonight.

Good measuring stick tonite.

And we’re a middle of the pack ACC team at our best. End of story.

Does that make you feel good? We don’t have the resources to be better? It is what it is?
I’m sorry, we’ve had seasons where we may have lost games, but this is a new thing where you can go down the schedule and count automatic losses, this rarely happened during JBs tenure but striving to be .500 and calling it success is ridiculous.
Hmmm, If you go down the schedule for the rest of the season, I actually don’t see a ANY automatic losses. Virginia was really the only one that was gonna be a heavy lift. They are much better on offense than they were last season and a definite Final Four contender. I know the ACC is down this year, but we can still make the tourney and have a decent season if we improve and notch some wins against teams like Louisville, Duke, UNC and Ga Tech.

All that said, just making the tourney shouldn’t be the Cuse standard. There are issues with this program no doubt. And I think many of us are surprised that it’s persisted this long. You always expect periodic down/NIT seasons like we’ve always had under JB, at the worst two in a row. But since the 2016 Final Four (with a decent regular season that wound up worse b/c of JB’s suspension), we’ve had four straight seasons of middle-of-the-pack conference finishes and only two tourney bids, including a solid 8 seed in 2019. So, yes, we have lots of work to do to get back to top 4-5 conference finishes and top 4 NCAA seeds, and I think many of us wonder if it can happen again under an aging JB. But hope burns eternal...

Latest odds to win the NCAAT: Gonzaga + 300, Baylor + 700 and UVA + 3,000. Have at it.
Baylor destroying Kansas St right now. 41-9 with 6 minutes left in the first

Yeah I'm watching it right now. They are a tremendous team. I know Gonzaga is excellent but for my money Baylor is the best. We know that the one and done aspect of the NCAAT makes it a tricky proposition but I'll be shocked if these guys don't at least make it to the F4. Loaded, unselfish and play hard on both ends of the floor.

That three quarter court shot at the half was nuts. Baylor dude didn’t even try to play d on that. He’s getting ripped this halftime

True. I laughed though when the play-by-play guy said "K State with some momentum at the end of the half." haha 54-26. And if Baylor wanted to roll up 125 here they could do it.

Clemson and Louisville 25-21 at the half. ACC is bad this year.

Yeah no doubt. It looks to me like the Big 12 and B1G are the two best conferences. I'd go with the SEC third. Haven't watched much P-12 - and don't plan to. :)

Pitt looks like a “lose the 8-9 game” at best type of team. Rutgers too.

Billy Owens, Derrick Coleman and Carmelo Anthony were generational players. I’m not sure Pitt has ever had one.
Levance Fields and Carl Krauser looked generational when they played us.

Pitt got a big head and let down their guard against Wake. Wake has that new coach and is an unknown, but his resume' is great. I love Cpenny, wish he was Orange. He's got the 5th element.
So why doesn't Champagnie play for the Orange?
