Is a mofo'n beast, no matter of fact hes a neanderthal. When the lights turn on he shines, hes all guts all glory.

Agreed. But more importantly, he's mature enough to deal with the fact that he should be a starter over Triche but is accepting of his role off the bench. I like him off the bench the same way I liked KJo off the bench for the 09-10 season. NO ONE thought Waiters would have the maturity to come off the bench for a second year...including me. Love the kid. Hard worker...he deserves all that he is getting.

Possibly the first Cuse bench player to get drafted, ever? UK has a couple every year. UNC every other year as well. Even if he goes NBA that means we hit the big time!

Wow. I think you are right.

I liken Waiters to Selby. I would love to see Selby get no PT in the NBA and Waiters take notice. Better to improve your draft status with one more year of college than to go to early and get a non-guaranteed contract.

If Waiters continues to play at this level and somehow does decide to stay he will be hyped to high heaven by the media for next year. First Team AA kind of hype. He will be one of the very very few national level BMOCs.

Sure. It's a "what have you done for me lately" world. Not long ago (against a Florida team with very good guards) Dion went 1/8 with 2 points, 2 rebs, 1 assist, no steals and a TO in 14 minutes. He looked good tonight but the NBA wants consistency against good competition... and he has yet to prove that.

Dion has yet to prove he can hit consistently from 3 pt range, but the rest of what he does is just raw ability. He can dribble-drive and use either hand; he is surprisingly quick on defense; he can get his shot; he is explosive off the floor; he has an NBA body.

I hope he doesn't go pro. I don't think he's ready. I think he needs another year. He's gonna have to work on his shooting ability, and his ball handling to be good in the NBA.

Dion is a lottery pick right now. He has to go pro this year! Jonny went 6th and Dion is bigger stronger will finish better at the pro level than Jonny and he shoots it just as well! Plus the biggest factor there no great guards in college basketball this year except for Rivers.

Waiters is not a lottery pick yet, I can't see him leaving yet. Sure, the NBA drafts on potential, of which he has tons; but, he is no doubt a PG at the NBA level, I'm not sure he has proven he can run a team. He still doesn't have a consistent jumper either.

If Austin Rivers is the gold standard for guards in college basketball this year, then the guard pool is very, very thin this year. I'm not a big Rivers fan. I think the guy is a supreme chucker.

I completely agree but that just furthers the point that Dion needs to go pro this year!

John Wall was the #1 pick and Dion's jump shot is better the Wall's right now!

Wall is a facilitator. Waiters isn't. Wall can get to the hoop just as well as Dion, and he can run an offense. Waiters right now can only get to the rim. He can shoot, but not very consistently. He's too small to be an NBA SG. Wes Johnson is being moved to SG this season, and he's 6'7. Waiters is 6'4, he'll have to be a PG.

Wall is not a facilitator he's a scoring point who can't shoot. He is lightning quick but he his an average passer and below average shooter. Facilitator are Cris Paul, D Williams, Nash, etc. But the point of the tread is should Dion go pro and the answer is yes! And He can run the pick and role that's all he needs to do.

He is not a bench player. I think he averages more minutes than both Scoop and Brandon which means they're on the bench more.

Fine. The first 'Cuse player in history to get drafted who did not start.
