With Erv I guess it’s good there have been ‘no rumors’ but on the flip side things are eerily quiet. Not sure to take that as good or bad.

Everything is pointing to Erv playing at this point.

Fredricks is an under the radar late bloomer! My daughters BF is from LI and knew him. He was always athletic and fast but now he is bigger too. Not known for his FB prowess in HS, more of a track star. But things change and my daughters BF was quite impressed. He texted another friend who played against Fredricks in HS now plays for Maine and his friend is totally jealous!

Syracuse OC Tim Lester tells @BrentAxeMedia that he spoke with T. Hunt yesterday. Hunt is eager to get back and help Dungey study coverages.

Lester tells @BrentAxeMedia that Dungey's only real need for improvement is understanding more coverages. Natural for a true freshman.

Lester on playing freshman QB Eric Dungey: "I might be a little less aggressive at times just to not put him in bad spots." Did same w/ Hunt

Lester sounds very comfortable with Dungey. They certainly aren't tempering expectations, and I really don't think it's coach speak.

Yup, and they have been saying it publicly for awhile now, almost too much so IMO. Given that "coach speak" is, and should be, the norm, this kid must be blowing them away in practice. That doesn't mean much until Dungey proves it on the field. Hopefully the staff's obvious confidence in him isn't simply relative to the other talent at QB on the roster. In any case, we will all have a better handle on this soon.

And man, we need this kid to be the real deal.
