Since they beat us at home in December, they offer a good contrast to the trajectory of our seasons since that point, and how the development of the two squads is moving in opposite directions. To see how parallel and opposite their results are since beating Cuse really shows badly things have gone off the rails here. The differences in pretty much every aspect of these two squads and the way they handle business are stark. It's hard to imagine Cuse even being competitive with an NIT or NCAA bubble-level squad, let alone beating them. The decent games against the Texas teams seems like a lifetime ago.

There's a ton of season left and a lot could happen, but at this point in time... yikes. Depaul may be playing better ball than us!

I've always liked Ed Cooley and thought highly of him as a coach. Never thought he'd leave Providence, but rumor was it had to do with something non basketball related.

My biggest fear is that we slide into permanent irrelevance. With active management from the A.D., that will not happen. But again, JW needs to take control of the situation ASAP.

Sadly, I don't think we are getting worse. However, if we lose to ND I fear the team could officially quit. If true and that happens, things could get Really ugly.

Agree that JW needs to get control of the situation. However, I learned from a poster he has no role in bball scheduling. Does anyone else find that odd?
