Was Donnie limping?

Nah, it’s been made clear no excuses will be accepted. Injuries aren’t a rare or a Syracuse specific thing.
And yet, over on the football board, many are quick to accept the loss of a single player as justification for:

1. a 3-win season
2. the worst loss in over 100 years
3. being blown out at home by a 1-10 BC team
4. one of the worst defenses in the ACC for two years running (to be fair, Fran addressed that issue after the season)
5. a QB room...all on NIL$, mind you...that appears to have been put together by Homer Simpson. (In Red's defense, at least he brought in Betsy and White as backups, and usually one of them is playing OK. Football? Well, no need to rehash that nightmare.)
6. almost no discernable adjustments on offense to cover for #5 after Angeli went down.

Red also lost Freeman and JJ for parts of last year, some of it at the same time.

Injuries can, and sometimes do, derail a season in a 5-man sport where the injury is to your best player. The difference between hoops and football is that Fran had a 10-win season in his pocket and Red has (justifiably) yet to earn the benefit of the doubt.

If there were any noticeable adjustments on offense they should have been able to score a few TD's on offense before garbage time.
Everything else is spot on.

Comparing Syracuse Basketball that this century has won a national championship, gone to 3 final fours, and on and on and on to Syracuse Football this century is just rage baiting and you know it. What happened in Football this season is not acceptable, I'm not going to argue with you there. The door in basketball is opening for this thing to really turn it around for real this time (I'm done projecting, very in the moment with basketball). The landscape is much more favorable in Basketball thus the higher expectations to win big right now than Football, though Fran is single handedly changing perceptions on expectations with the way he is recruiting and now hiring staff.

Nothing to disagree with in this post and I'm certainly not an Autry fan.
