Watching the Saints today i find it difficult to believe that Doug ever coached for them let alone was an OC. I realize that Nassib is limited but geez you have to wonder if the reason that Doug wasnt allowed to play call was because he was so conservative in his approach. Lets hope that he leans a little more towards his saints roots in 12 .

Quote from an ESPN article December 2008

Marrone has been with the Saints since 2006. New Orleans' offense ranked first in the league in his first year with the team and the passing game has ranked near the top of the league most of this season.

Marrone's background is with the offensive line, but he's had the coordinator title since coming to New Orleans. Although head coach Sean Payton calls the plays on game days, Marrone is responsible for much of the offensive planning during the week.

No, he handed out popcorn and gatorade to the players during film study.

kcsu..I'm sure you're a nice person and all but wow, you are about the most negative person I have ever seen on the football side. If I wanted to hear whiny complaints all the time, I'd talk to my wife. You truly are the Schleprock of the board. Woesy woesy.

Give him Saints talent, or heck, Rutgers talent.

Running that kind of offense with what we had is illogical, but keep banging the drum.
