Just prior to the Wake Forest game, I bumped into my old friend (and fraternity brother) Dan Conley.
While we were talking, the Good Dr. walked by and my dad offered to take a pic of us all.
As you can see from the pic below, I was so psyched for the big game, my nips were rock hard.
All joking aside, Dan still loves the program and had good things to say about our LB's noting that both Spruil and Dyson will get long looks from the NFL. Paraphrasing him, he compared each to Hogue and that it's all up to how they do on Pro Day and at the combine (if invited).
Dan also mentioned that we need to be patient with Hunt. Said he's a good QB for what we wanna do, but that he's a first year player in a relatively new system.
When I asked Dan if he thought we'd recruited over Hunt, he added that, "Again, he's a 1st year guy... He's gonna take his lumps, but it's too early to determine his future."
It really was great to be up on the Hill again.
And my 72 year-old dad had so much fun, he's already planning a long weekend for the Notre Dame game in Met Life next fall.
Here's to hoping Kaiser will join us.
Orange for Life!!!
