Was there a game yesterday, ESPN????

Really, then every team that has lost a close game was 2-3 play from getting blown out, that's your take, really?!?!?!

Yes that is a safe take ... an illegal procedure call took an 87 yard score off the board for starters ... then its a 17 point ball game, Harris also over threw a guy that would have led to another score. However you could say SU was a few plays from making it real interesting. That take is not far fetched at all. I think in hindsight that is what made it a really great game to watch.

Once again, that then applies to any close game by any two teams. Win close, lose close, you almost got blown out!???

Syracuse had the ball twice in the 2nd half in a one-score game. That's not going to hold national media attention beyond the 3:30 games.

Yes that my take and no not every close game had the type of difference maker plays we saw in that game.

We're rightfully pleased with the team's effort, and we had opportunities, but we never had LSU on the ropes. That's why there's no talk about the game.
True, but they never dominated us like it was predicted. Press pretty much outright stated that we didn't even deserve to be on the same field as them.

there's could a would a should ofs on both sides. the crazy pitch and run was a fluke.

Oregon, a team always in contention, got their doors blown off at home. TCU won in a thriller over Texas Tech. Alabama was coming off a loss, Michigan is on the upswing, the Florida-Tennessee game was crazy.

There were way better story lines than us losing by 10 to LSU.

That, there, is true.

and when you just look at the boxscore, the game was never really in jeopardy.

but lets not lose focus, it was a GREAT game for SYRACUSE.

a game which gives us great hope that we will go bowling and maybe, just maybe...high up the pecking order.

6th??

5th???

4th??!!

Absolutely. We need to not worry about the national media. Win enough games, get ranked, get to better bowl games and you'll get the attention.

Was never shown ... coverage of SU as a whole is a joke. What really blows my mind is that so many SU grads work there yet this goes on.
SU Alums that work at the network (and there are a ton) need to step up, this was crazy! Not only was it just Fortunette highlights, but there was no mention of us playing offense at all, or doing a good job of tackling him except on 4 or 5 plays, and during his highlights there was a graphic over half our score looking like we had single digit points when he was in the game. I heard from a few people that were watching on TV and the day of announcers for the game were effusive about our solid play in the game especially given the circumstances then Nothing all weekend.

It must be that SU alums are the only ones that have been taught and follow journalistic integrity ideals regarding their alma mater, because every other person on that network is hard repping their school any chance they get their airtime. Back your school sportscaster Cuse alums at least get us fair coverage, there is nothing biased about that.

So much this. Every other blowhard "analyst" puts their team/school on a pedestal.
I'm looking at you Herbstreit...

Fair coverage? You do realize that this is a national network, right?

We're a mid-pack ACC team coming off of an awful season. There are 120+ FBS teams, and shows are becoming less about highlights and more about analysis. Why should we get our backs scratched?

As others have said, let's win a big game or two, then we'll talk.

Its all the smart people there that are SU grads...thus the on air personalities get mad at our school. Other than Tirico and a few others ESPN BLOWS>

Here is an example of how far up the SEC's butt ESPN is. When they were talking about Fournette they said "Wait until he gets into the SEC schedule and we'll see how good he is." They said this 3 to 5 times while discussing Fournette and the Heisman. LSU has played 2 SEC teams (Auburn/Miss St) already and both were Top 25 at the time they played. The kid is one of the best and that's not my point it's ESPN.... seriously do they even know what they are talking about or are they just so propaganda bound to even care? I don't mind them not talking about SU but the dismissive way they talked about SU is BS and why I try to never listen to them but again...they always are setting the "mood" regarding the Syracuse program when it comes to the average fan.
