Have this entire year. Washington State's starting QB is out for rest of the season but their backup threw for 5 TDs and 470 yards. Hunt,Long,Kimble,Austin have 5 combined TDs this entire year.

I would rather watch games in the 40's if we are going to lose atleast then they are entertaining.

I get what you're saying but did he have the same Oline as QB1 and receivers? I don't like what I see from this SU offense at all but I am cutting them some slack regarding the injuries to the whole offense except for the RB's.

Shafer must be seeing the same things we are with the pathetic offense, and yet Lester appears to be his guy.

It's just mind boggling.

If we had that O with our D - just one score would be in the 40's.

We haven't had all of these injuries for every game this season. So we've had one or two guys out for most games. So have our opponents. We played a 2nd string QB, we played a team with their top WR out, teams we've played have had injuries too. Maybe we get a pass for a couple games but not every single game of the season.

We could have 0 injuries on offense and I would have no faith our coaches would get any of our QBs to throw for 470 yards and 5 TDs.

My point is I doubt the QBs on Washington State's roster were highly recruited but Leach coaches them up. Now his defense sucks but atleast it's entertaining to watch.

How hard is it to keep Lester as interim OC until the end of the season, test the market, and if nothing comes of it, THEN announce him as OC for next year? If we find a better fit in coaching free agency you thank Lester for his interim OC efforts and move him back to QB coach. Shafer knows how to coach his side of the ball but on management decisions he seems pretty clueless.

Maybe Gross already told him the purse isnt being opened but stubborn confidence in an unproven entity when your job is probably on the line next season is a huge risk.

With how it hit the fan after McDonald was demoted, I just don't see why Shafer would have said anything else other than Lester is the guy. Even if he and Lester know that's not the case.

And still have the same record as us :noidea:

Thank you. If we lost 50-40 all the time Shafer would be getting mockingly referred to as " a defensive guru" and the haters would want him fired anyway
