Watching LSU-Louisville game

Come on, man. This game isn't for another 9 months. Why write it off as a loss right now?

Because we have lost every single OOC game against elite teams going back to the late 90s. It is getting old. 15 years unranked is getting old. Missing bowl games almost every year is getting old. Is that all because of the OOC? Of course not. But it sure as hell has only hurt us.

We start the year next season with three extremely winnable non-conference games. Beat BC and Wake at home, and then find one more win and we are bowling. If we don't go to a bowl next year, it's because we aren't good.

How about we play Purdue instead of LSU and we have a better chance at 7 wins? Or a much better chance at a bowl? By the way, losing to Pitt, NC State, LSU, Clemson, Miami, FSU and Louisville next year makes us no worse than BC, Maryland and others who are in bowls this year. It makes us dumber. This schedule OOC to go 3-1 philosophy is moronic. I want us to get to a bowl and I don't give a damn how we get there.

Winning and going to a bowl.

The games at Clemson and FSU have been awesome watching a couple of our kids almost get killed. Let's have more of that!

You don't cherish the memory of one of our players vomiting blood in a 59-0 loss to FSU a few years ago???

Dungey got his head taken off against Central Michigan, also. Is CMU also out of our league?

That was a cheap shot, not being physically dominated. Which is what LSU is going to do to us. But it will be a fond memory. Recruits will love it too.

Purdue's 2017 schedule is already established. We signed a home-and-home contract with LSU after a great stretch of three bowl wins in four games. You can't micromanage a schedule the season before. They're established years in advance.

Yeah but think of the great memories we will have when LSU blasts us on national TV next year. Such a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I have to believe that playing at LSU helps attract talent.

The game next year is an investment

Recruits from down south will love it.

They want to compete at that level

That's the one logical fallacy that I just can't get my head around in these threads. The idea that 18 year olds want to play in the Motor City Bowl in front of 20k people more than at LSU.

I know that about Purdue, that was an example of a winnable P5 game. . And we scheduled LSU 18 months out and after, yeah, a bowl season, but a season where every elite or semi elite opponent smacked us. And two of those 3 bowls were in a much weaker Big East. Oh well, E, we will always agree to disagree on this one

59-3. Let's not forget that field goal.

Or that that was the score after the third quarter.

I still don't understand why schedules in basketball are created in the offseason but football schedules are set up years in advance.

Unless they re-jigger, or do away with, the divisions, that is something we'll have to deal with on an annual basis.

What team in the country wastes more elite talent than LSU?
My god their team sans QB is so freaking talented. Georgia used to waste all their talent but man LSU is so good.
Next year they don't lose much. The LSU D is dominating Lamar Jackson.

This is why I love hearing how yesterday the SEC is overrated when the fifth best SEC team just waxed the #3/#2-best ACC team.

LSU is GOOD though. Yikes on our trip their next year. Hoping Coach O can't gameplay for our O.
