I don't really like Knight as an analyst. I'm not for a second questioning his hoops knowledge; there is no question he's forgotten more than any of us will ever know.
But I do think he is very repetitive. I watched most, but not all, of the game last night, but I actually don't remember a lot of shot fake mentions. However, he was talking a lot about how quick 3 pointers means you can't get fouled. One thing that bothered me that was when they would take those quick trigger 3s, he would say something like "they need to get it inside so they can get an easy 2 pointer or get fouled". Now, I don't have a problem with the general idea; Missouri was taking way too many quick 3s, and they should've tried to get it inside more. But he was acting like all you had to do was post a guy up and you'd get a bucket or a foul.
Also, I agree about the taking too long to get his point out. After Missouri hit a FT to go up 4 with like 2 seconds left, he went on and on about how th egame was over because Illinois didn't have enough time to score 4 points in one possession. It's like, who doesn't know you can't score 4 points in one trip?
