Louisville not being a top-three team is honestly a joke. Virginia is ranked way too high, and Georgia Tech should be lower after losing so much production. Syracuse being outside the top 10 makes no sense either—they’re bringing in a top-30 high school class, added a solid portal group, and that strong 2025 class is now a year older with real experience. This ranking feels insane and honestly comes off like engagement bait.

Here is my attempt to rationalize it, when you add the experience of our young players that produced, Vince Kehres Toledo defense production and scheme to Syracuse, and a Jeff Nixon offense with Angeli. Those parts all together equal a pretty good football team.

Should be true for us, but other teams are not standing still and every year most teams fans think the same thing. Just look at our preseason thoughts on our QB room last year.
