Wayne Williams has workout with New York Giants, explains why he left Syracuse football program

Don't know why Nate Mink would write something like this for there is nothing but positive vibes coming from the Cuse program with Dino at the helm. Also, throwing FHCSS under the bus from someone who was a complete non-factor on the field and in the classroom is totally ridiculous.

Yea, this isn't on SS. There was a draft this past summer for the summer weight lifting and competition groups. 8 captains picked their teams including Hunt, Franklin, etc...NOBODY picked Wayne Williams. He had to be placed on a team before he was booted from the program. Wayne would miss class, lifts, training room appointments and believe it or not, meals. His own teammates gave HCSS a standing ovation when he announced he booted Wayne from the team.

Wasn't this the guy that was going to, as he put it, "turn the program into Swaga-Cuse"? He showed up fat and jiggly, ran his mouth, and talked shite the whole time about how he and the NYC boys were putting us back on the map. All bark no bite. And when you blame everyone else for your problems, we begin to see who the problem is.
I believe in the comments section under this article, Rob Trudo, (at least he claimed to be, and I tend to believe him based on what he wrote) weighed in, and said how much respect he, and the rest of the team had for Shafer. Got the feling he was distancing Williams from Syracuse.

Whether it is coaching or business, one of the most difficult things a leader has to do is hold people accountable that don't want to be held accountable. Those people usually have an axe to grind because they lack the ability to be introspective and accept responsibility for their actions. Booting out those that don't pull their weight makes the team stronger and earns the respect of those that work hard everyday. I remember HCDM running out Mike Williams. MW accepted responsibility and HCDM helped him land on an NFL roster. I had the impression that HCSS was respected and liked by the majority of his players and opposing coaches.

I'm pretty sure that is in fact Rob Trudo based on the comments. Rob does a very nice job expressing his perspective. Not an easy thing to do, I'm sure, when you have obviously been so closely involved to a situation.
