IMO, Donnie is the only player that truly stopped caring. Starling was obviously horrific down the stretch -- but I never got the sense for a second he wasn't trying his best. And George just had his best game of the season in the final home game vs. Pitt with 26 points.

Totally agree the team mailed it in. It makes no sense though for individual players to quit. They all aspire to careers in basketball (even if not NBA level) or getting a bigger NIL. Why ???

The regression was tangible. IMHO Kingz, White, and to some extent George showed improvement during the course of the season.

The regression of several (and I wont name names) was actually shocking.

The #1 job of a Coach, in my opinion, beyond X's and O's is motivation. Unfortunately, Red failed dismally in this area.

The next hire will look good if only because it cant get much worse. We have gone from giant shoes to fill to small flip flops.

Have to disagree on Starling. How can a senior who isnt injured go from averaging over 10 PPG to getting less than 10 points composite over his last four or five games. Maybe the motion of his body fooled you, but pretty clearly the head packed it in.

I felt like George turned into quite the gunner the last few games and Starlings effort on defense was putrid. Kiyan didn't do himself many favors either.

Agree, but with Freeman and Starling checking out somebody had to take some shots.

Kind of felt like he froze Kingz out quite a bit this year in general. Betsey yesterday too. Just terrible play from your pg.

Sorry to disagree a bit. I thought Kingz got his shots most of the time. As for Betsy he is a one trick pony and he can be taken out of the game by any team that just stays in his face. He cant create his own shot in the least. He doesnt cut to the basket, what is a PG to do with him ?

Freeman needs someone to get in his face and demand effort. I’m not sure that Red made a mistake giving JJ and Freeman too much of a role in getting guys from the portal. It might have given them a sense of importance that should only come from the staff. Just a thought.
