"We are their Super Bowl. For us it's just another mid major."

It's not a guarantee of course but it gives a school a much better chance across all athletic programs. When Pitino had UL in C-USA he said they couldn't get certain kids because the appeal of the opponent wasn't there. Add in the gobs of money it all helps.

I agree with you, their are indeed definite advantages. What I'm saying is that makes what UConn and Villanova(2 former Big East schools that got mocked, and some folks on here assumed their fans were envious, but Im guessing some of us are the more envious now) did that much more special, and apparently difficult from all the stuff folks say. Then you get into the arguments that we've done less with more(minus our NCAA punishment), and our future forecast...well I dont want to go there. I hope GMAC has some aces up his shirt sleeves!

I don't think anyone mocks Villanova. Heck half this place would carry Jay Wright on their back to SU.

Take a glance at the Boneyard, they are clearly envious, one bad game at MSG aside.

Alcohol or other hard drugs of your choice may be beneficial right now. Misery sucks, and the early part of this season seems to be full of it, and rather unexpectedly. Now that it's not unexpected any longer, folks would be wise to look into whatever coping mechanisms you prefer. Meditation and/or music are good, along with exercise. Stimulants and internet porn also seem to be a good combo for passing time and taking your mind off of matters youd rather not dwell on, from what I have read.

The post before this may have been my 5,000th post, but I wanted to take a moment and say I'm honored youve let me stay here(mostly) this long for all my non comformity, and humbled that some folks actually dig me at times. I'm kinda like an old broadcast TV that some of you may remember where the signal went in and out...you know, the old in an out(to borrow a line from A Clockwork Orange, or Fargo). I love you SOBs, and am kinda glad I didnt remember to make my own thread like Ive seen at least 1 person do.

This doesnt happen every day, and it was kinda cool on Pearl Day(tm). Yes, I recognize it sounds silly talking about this, but I dont care(its part of my shtick I guess, or online personality), it's a rather rare event for me...especially since I only post in this forum, other than some occasional hoops recruiting posts. If anyone is still reading(lol), thank you very much. This board saves me at times from other internet or real life time wasting, and the people are cool for the most part!!! :) peace be unto all of you!

You may be correct, but some would argue that there is something wrong with SU fans who hang around the boneyard. (even if the name didnt have other possible inferences). ;) I know about 5 or 6 years ago on one of the older boards maybe, I was mocking the boneyard trolls of the day.

Hey, does anyone recall the positve SU Fan thread on the boneyard that someone linked here and many of us checked out? Just trying to spread peace and love at the moment, lol.

We suck. They suck. The Dome experience sucks. College refs suck. Being in the ACC sucks. The selfish Big East bball onlies suck. The level of play in college hoops sucks. During a timeout I've got to listen to a few different idiots singing Backstreet Boys songs. Good God. Awful.

I'm miserable right now.
Do they play anything but jock jams and Y2K pop hits?

Play some Drake, 21 Savage etc.. Just get the censored tracks.

Just listening on tv and reading the board I can tell id take issue with 90% of the Gameday experience there.

Until the LongIslandCuse post above mine, I didn even put Backstreet Boys and home game together until now. Did they actually play them in the dome? lol

It'll be on the cover of their media guide and UConn's. Too many of these games are dumb. We are horrid which doesn't help matters. Chris Mullin gets to go for the hat trick.

It'll take Georgetown a half dozen games for 26K to see them play.

Are we villanova's super bowl too?

Heard some U2 Streets, off the iconic 1987 Joshua Tree album...

I just noticed I've been promoted to All American. I know that's ancient history for some of you fossils, but it's rather special to me, and I will enjoy polishing this title belt, and maybe even do some Aaron Rodgers gestures to you.

two three has gotten me into more betting, so that may slow down my post potential, just to warn you. I'm already 1-0 with his tips and have 2 more wagers pending, after making the bad decision to bet on the Cuse today, for some reason.

With music selection, what level of similarity or difference do you think it should have with the NFL, which I kind of dig?

Lasalle is Villanova's Super Bowl.

Read the recap in the Washington Post of JT 3 gushing about going to the Dome, what it means to beat Syracuse.

I'd give you 10 likes for that if I could, I absolutely love that song, even more so now that I kind of understand some of the possible meaning. You're right about iconic album, even more so than their further reaching stuff like Achtung Baby. That's a band I'd love to see again live before I die...thanks for making my bucket list longer lol.

Bono needs a kick in the butt to get Songs of Experience out there, but that's a whole different story.

Every NFL game I've been at, that's what they play. Censored hip hop. You see the players dancing to the music going through their warm ups. It's a better experience in my opinion. Much more energy.

On the games I watch on TV, my recent memories or mostly "welcome to the jungle" and various AC/DC tunes, but I dont suppose I pay that much attention. It's been years since I've been to an NFL game, the last one being at Mile High Stadium when it was about 20 degrees out. Folks want to talk about being hardcore fans lol. We did these shots in shot glasses made of ICE and then threw the ice down and smashed them. I did the famous bowling balls shot(s) from Pinto Ron/Kenny of NFL Films fame. who claimed the NFL has since tried to ban him from being at games. Really cool guy if you ever get to meet him. Some fans tried to get me BANNED from the stadium, but the usher couldnt even figure out what I was doing wrong lol.

Yes. There was some stupid thing where a couple different fans were on the big screen singing along to a Backstreet Boys song. Flat out horrible. Also, the dance team had a routine to a different Backstreet Boys song. Blown away that the Carrier Dome thinks it's cool to play multiple Backstreet Boys songs in a game.

They also play Welcome to the Jungle and Thunderstruck. I'm good with hearing none of it. Let the Band play.

Out coach calls garbage teams "great". Can't take what they say literally.

So you still like the new stuff too? Theyve been slower between albums, and yeah he did say 2016 and the whole year is about over. ...not sure if there are any SU fans from Chicagoland on here, but a few years ago one of your legendary rock stations went off the air, and closed with U2's "One" as their final song. Whether or not Bono is self absorbed, theyve certainly made some great music and done some good for the world as well. In the spirit of peace and remembering each other, why not?

I remember what his father said about a Syracuse facility, and think he was being less politically corrent than the son has to be in our more super-sensitized society. I miss when folks could be more authentic and not need multiple personalities, which seems less healthy if you really think about it.

Would have no problem with the band handling music duties.

Did the band go downhill after the famous drummer with the dreads left? That guy often seemed to find his way onto tv!! Is it like The Dead after Jerry? Alice In Chains with their current singer?

AIC is still making music? I love the scene is "This is 40" where Paul Rudd plays "Rooster" for his family.
