We better not sleep on UCONN

We can't sleepwalk through any game. We just aren't good enough. But does UConn have talent similar to BC? We gave up 300+ on the ground and still had our chances to win. We had more yards and first downs. Can UConn bust off 30 yard TD runs? I don't expect a blowout. I do expect a win.

This is where I’m at. I at least expect a win.

I think UConn has a better OL and RBs and they can run the ball like BC. DL is good as are their LBs. Syracuse has better WRs/TE but UConn has talent at those positions. Where there is a big difference is at QB. UConn has been trying to develop Nick Evers, but their backup Fagnano has great passing stats and lead their big comeback yesterday.

UConn could win, but I would expect Syracuse to be 8+ point favorite at home.

Given what was on display yesterday, any team with a at least middling offensive line and running game will have success against us. We don't appear to have the schemes or Clydesdales to adjust effectively.

If we limit mistakes on offense, we should be able to outscore UConn.

A pick and /or a fumble at inopportune times and things could get difficult.

We can't beat ourselves and this team lacks focus for considerable stretches in games and that is certainly a worry.

Can we also open a game with focus so we're not on the back foot at the end of the 1st qtr?

16-38. That is the record of the FBS teams that U Conn has beaten, and with the exception of Buffalo, the games have been very close. Yes they played Duke and Wake close and yes they are well coached and improved. But we should hang it up if we don’t beat them
