Oh I agree and was surprised that was the thought process. They fired Jeff Jags after interviewing with the Jets so anything is possible at the Heights. Just passing along what I heard. They want, like us, to be competing for ACC titles and not going to bowl games w 6 wins. The interest level for BC football is at an all time low right now regardless of the results.

True. I just think he is a good coach although not considered a sexy coach with flashy o and d. Very solid though. Hope they do get rid of him so they ain’t a s good.

I don't think we'd compete for a coach with BC. No coach interested in picking up the kind of style we have would go to BC, and vice versa with BC's style and us.

Helton has a $15 million buy out on top of a new coach on top of paying whatever other schools buy out for someone who won a rose bowl in the last 2 yrs and is starting a new Fr QB.

they probably win the next 3 to get to 7-4 too and its no gimme utah beats oregon and ASU and Col and then they end up winning that side again.

My issue with all this stuff is NOBODY and I mean NOBODY knows if Dino wants to be here long term or he will try and take some success at Syracuse and cash in at a bigger program. I don't buy that there won't be better opportunities for him at some point. When I say better opportunities I mean a salary package that likely doubles his earnings as well as most of his key staff.

Wildhack can keep trying but if Dino is taking a wait and see approach well not much you can do. I would be willing to bet that the university has attempted to extend him at this point.

Just have to wait and see how it plays out

That's why I'm so sick of all these extend him now threads and posts. As if everyone knows the situation and just thinks it's all Wildhack not getting it done.

It's certainly in play no matter the financial implications (and they are alot). Lincoln Riley is rumored to leave Oklahoma for the Browns, Dan Mullen to the Cowboys, etc. These will create major waterfall scenarios at Oklahoma and Florida. No one knows where Dino's head is but it's worth noting that these are situations that can open up on a moment's notice and create issues.

It's a message board afterall, it's what we do on here.

They picked up a make-up game with ECU at the end of the season. I believe it was contingent upon them not making the ACC championship game.
