Marrone is a very smart guy, a nice guy etc... But he is and seemingly will always be a coach who can't carry his team on his back. You look at what Payton did with a really bad franchise, he carried them on his back to where they are now. This year he isn't there and you can see the difference. If Marrone were to miss a year would anyone notice?

I think the only way this program is saved is if Tom Coughlin decides he has done enough in the NFL and wants to fix his alma mater as his last gig. He is another coach who can change a team, not just manage it.

Don't hold your breath. HCDM isn't going anywhere. Besides some dumb calls in the red zone I think they where fine. Let's see how they play with something besides that statue at RT. He has been a calamity on the oline the first 4 games.

Tom Coughlin would be a horrible coach, ANY NFL coach would be a horrible coach. Why are you even thinking about this in terms of NFL coaching?
