Would be a fitting turn to this whole saga if forensics could determine that the tape was doctored and is a compilation of several different phone conversations edited together.

Well ESPN is not going to do it because it's their story and tape.

The police will not spend money on it unless there is a trial, and the tape will not be admissable anyway.

So unless Bernie himself hired a third party expert it's not going to get checked.

Prediction:

Laurie Fine will not speak publicly.
If she's foolish enough to do so, she'll claim the tape actually refers to activity AFTER Davis was 18 and deny any child abuse.
There is no way the tape excerpts were doctored to edit conversation out of context.

The irony here is that the people who should be speaking publicly are Nancy Cantor & Jim Boeheim.
