The biggest problem is the 3 point line, move it back to 30 feet and make it a difficult shot.
The reward is to great where the line is now.
Moving it back would open up the floor, more spacing and less reward for shooting them.

Or... make 2 pointers worth 3 and 3 pointers worth 4.

I know it sounds crazy but when you think it through it makes a ton of sense.
