We need to cover Scott Wood

Guy from NC State is 6-6 and shooting ~57% from 3 (25-44 so far). If we can extend and cover him we should be golden but he's the type of player that has been known to hurt us.
He's their best 3 point shooter, but Howell & Leslie will be a challenge on the boards. Even if Wood & the other shooters miss, this will be a big game for our front court against a good rebounding team.

let's hope wood is ice cold outside . he tends to shrink up and practically disappear.

If you play Wood soft it can be hard to slow him down.

I dont get it.

My apologies if my posts are disjointed. My point was that Wood is a good shooter but if we play an aggressive zone we seem to trade missed outside shots for rebounds which lead to second chance points. Howell gets a lot of rebounds that he turns into easy points. I was suggesting that this is a big game for our young inside players' rebounding against NC State. It may be commonsensical, but I think inside play will be a key in this game.

:eek::rolling:

He's put up 56 2-pt shots and 44 3-pt shots...makes 57% of his 3's and 51% of his 2's

I read a scouting report that says if you keep Wood from delivering his money shot (57% accuracy) you have a good shot at winning.

The only defense against wood is a Box. Once he sees a box as big as the Cuse's, Wood is sure to come up short. as many players as we can run at him, the sheer depth of the box might make Wood go soft.
