We often debate if the Dome has ever been sold out

44,000 will be perfect.
If you want to route for a team like Villanova. I'd rather the Mayor ban coca cola in Syracuse and keep the extra room for 6,000. When Baber's offense catches its legs, those seats will be snatched up quickly.

I was watching the Tenn game from 98 on YOUtube and in the Pre game the broadcaster said the tickets went on sale Aug 3rd and were gone in three days, which backs my argument that we have had multiple sell outs but sometimes tickets are returned or for whatever reason it doesn't go off as an official sell out. Also the argument that the dome is too big (capacity )...we had average att. of over 45,000 10 times from 88 through 2000. several years between 47 and 50. The dome capacity is perfect IMO if we put a reallty good team on the field. Of course thats a big IF.

Do not reduce capacity.

Increase capacity and win football games.

They will come

I'd wait and see what Babers can do before we downsize. We haven't taken this type of coach out to drive yet. Could be just what the people are wanting and usher in a new era.

Do you think Babers can solve the usher problem? ;)

Hey, you brought it up. :)

Do you think it helps recruiting when another school can say "they can't even sell out a 50k stadium?"

There is no one left to go to games.

Our basketball attendance was 26,253 in 2013-14, which I believe was the best in 25 years or so. We were coming off a final 4, started 25-0, and had an attractive home schedule. It might be harder now than it used to be but if the team is winning and it's fun to go, people will show up.
