Think about that for a second. I mean, 10 years ago we would be like 1-5 at this point in the season and losing games that weren't even worth watching in the second half. It's been 20 years since we have been sad as a fanbase, but still getting acknowledged in poll voting.
This year we are essentially two plays from being undefeated and have an excellent chance of starting the year 5-2. Do you know how many times we have started a season 5-2 this entire century? Three times. Freeney team in 2001, 2010 and 2011.
I know these two losses were soul crushing and we all had temporary fantasies of making a playoff run, but we are still in great shape for a rock-solid 8-4 season.
