I haven't watched the show in 30 years, but I average at least one 80s-The Young and the Restless reference per week.

I was listening to an 80s on 8 countdown on SiriusXM during a long drive recently and that song came on. I had completely forgotten about it. Yes, I was singing along loudly in the car and yes, my son was wishing for a few moments that he was adopted.

Cuse v Wake 2011 before start of 4th quarter. Still Vividly remember Ant Bailey breaking off left tackle and outrunning half the Wake defense 50+ yards to tie the game in the 4th quarter after being down 15 pts 4 mins earlier. Ran directly at my seats in the 300s and saw it with my ~15k best friends that held out hope and stayed after the 3rd quarter was over.

I love the renovated dome and am going to savor that first day football game played on a hot, humid day, where I sit in my seat and enjoy the game in wonderful AC. Syracuse fans will be the only big time college football fans to enjoy perfect viewing conditions for every game. That is pretty damned cool.

But the moment I am anticipating the most is not that day. It is the first night game for football, and then for basketball, when the team takes the field/court for the first time.

Hopefully in darkness.

We have the ability for football and basketball night games to do some special things we never could before. I hope and pray we take advantage of the new lighting, the new sound system and the new scoreboards, and roll out the best team introductions in college sports.

That should be the goal. There is no reason it can’t happen. WE CAN DO THIS. LET’S DO THIS!

With the folks running the place that can't spell SU legend's names right I'm not holding my breath.

I’ve accepted that music at the dome shouldn’t be geared to me. Let them play whatever the college kids like.

I do appreciate that people eat-up the big intro spectacle stuff. I hope the University gets it right and takes advantage of the new lighting and sound system. Personally, that stuff doesn’t do much for me. Even as a young teenager, I thought the Chicago Bulls “Sirius” intro was corny.

I like it, if done right can get the adrenaline pumping for many.
