this was look,at home games in the early 60's. csonka and little years. could be a big game for dungey and strickland!!!! this is as close as i think we get to classic colors. what do you think orangepa

This is a sharp combo, but would love to see orange, white, white on the road. Think the orange lids in the natural light look sharp! Might have been our look @ uconn last year?

This is the worst variant of orange - white - orange that I've seen, but it is orange, white, and orange, so I will happily take it!

And I'm aligned w/ an all white alternate uniform as well, so we have successfully avoided clown costumes on both sides of Halloween (ironic - in a good way).

I like the block S. Way better than the SJ logo they tried under Gerg. Not everything the Doc did was bad. I'm no Doc lover but he did alot of the things Jake claimed could never be done like the field turf. We'd still be playing on AstroTurf if Jake was still in charge.

Everyone prefers the block S over the SJ. The issue is that the traditional orange helmet and stripe was a classical look that people knew repped syracuse. The block S has been recycled by many schools.

Logo is a better way to brand. I still see the Browns helmet used *as their logo* and cringe.

New helmets are better, IMO.

I assume you mean this...

To me, it's dated. It's gone from classic to throwback at this point. The helmet is boring. Does any other school except PedU still use the solid color/stripe combo anymore? I don't want to be the one school that copies them at anything they do.

I’m not advocating for throwbacks in the purest sense. I like the new modern helmet and facemask structures... I even prefer the shimmer over the matte look. And I’m pretty comfortable with all the other uniform variations even though orange white orange is my favorite combo. We just don’t need a block S to modernize the look, though. That decal so commonplace. Give me a different S style if we have to keep it. Otherwise get rid of it. Stripe take or leave it.

I'm not seeing a difference between the matte orange that comes up when you type 'matte orange' in google, and the top helmet.

I guess we can argue semantics, but it's not like we're taking the field in this:

I like the helmets but they are not matte. The blue helmets are definitely matte finish for sure.

Google doesn't do a good job of helmet sorting by finish.

I like the look.

In the best of all worlds I would like us to do it in the way LSU does it - orange helmets, white jerseys and orange pants at home and away - a return to the Csonka, Little, Davis years.
