Syracuse, N.Y. -- Two days after losing to North Carolina State 24-17, Syracuse released its early depth chart for Duke on Monday. Per usual, this is consistent with SU's lineup on Saturday.

The only change from the week before was the removal of junior Ashton Broyld and the H-back position from the listing. Broyld missed the NCSU game with a lower-body injury.

The removal of the position from the chart doesn't mean anything schematically. Ben Lewis or Jarrod West will likely fill that spot on most plays.

I doubt a bunch of that depth chart. Namely the o line, and Hodge at MLB. Also skeptical about Raymon and McFarlane as well.

Suffered apparent right foot injury against Clemson 10/25. RT @ZackMolle: Spotted Brisly Estime on crutches with a walking boot today.

Is he by any chance available for an injury redshirt? I'm guessing no because he appeared in 5 games (although you could argue he didn't really "appear" in the Nova and Clemson games). Seems doubtful we see him the rest of the year, even if we do, is it worth it, he wouldn't be at full speed.

He's played in too many games, and the Clemson game was in the second half of the season.

Excuses.

But wow. 12 off the two deep out and of those I think all have started a game but arciniega

So much for Troy Green filling in at QB.

He's injured too.

@Stephen_Bailey1: So with no Robinson or Lasker, it's likely that we see Jason Emerich play right guard again. He filled in the last 3 series against NCSU.

I'd venture to guess that as many as six players listed as "out" are also done for the season.

And I recall saying to myself in August, "well, we're getting through preseason practice without many injuries."

I wonder if Duke would be up to playing some 6 man football? ;) I remember my dad talking about playing it on his high school football team in Missouri (small farming community) back in the early 40's.

Emerich looked really shaky pass blocking at the OG position last week. To be fair to him, he surely had been practicing as a center and was not ready to deal with life as an OG. With all the injuries, I am hoping he put a lot of work in guard this week and will be ready to go.

If he can't handle it, the next logical move is to put McGloster at RT and move Palmer to RG. If there is a silver lining to all this injury misery, a lot of young players are getting playing time they ordinarily would not have. It hurts us this season but might pay dividends in the future...

Good point. Unfortunately, some of that game experience is going to be negated by not having the additional practices making a bowl would provide. The program desperately needed to make a bowl this year, for no greater reason than the additional opportunity for player development.
