Week 12 ACC/FBS Games for Nov 11-15

Say Gt loses to Pitt but beats GA to end 10-2
Virg wins out to go 12-2 and wins ACC
Miami goes 10-2 and no ACC title game

could ACC get 3 in?

Why did Key take a timeout with :14 on the clock instead of draining some time?
My guess is to leave time in case it was a first down, because it was close, with a chance to score a touchdown and not rely on any kick at all.

A&M has played nobody since ND, who botched a PAT snap to lose by 1. SEC would have looked really bad had they lost.

Texas isn’t good but you cannot punish them for playing at Ohio State. If they played a cupcake P4 instead they would be Top 10 even after this loss.

Weird that UConn has a bye the last week of the season. They are three plays away from being undefeated right now. But their best W would have been us so they would be ranked like 22 in the upcoming poll with no shot at the playoffs despite being the best non P4.

Wake might end the year 9-3 and ranked. They have nothing to show for it though.

That UNC loss likely means no Bowl. Do they keep Bill?

If Maryland losses next week they are out of a Bowl. How does Locksley survive a 2-15 B1G record the last 2 years?

Pitt is such a fraud. Why were they ranked? People just saw the record and not The Who on their Ws?

GA Tech is so late 90s SU. Plays to level of their competition.

Navy could still make the playoffs, and then lose to Army the week before.

I don't agree with much of that.

Baring some major upsets UGA, Ole Miss, A&M, Bama, Ohio State, Indiana, Texas Tech, Notre Dame, ACC Champ, best G6 are in. That leaves 2 spots.

If Texas Tech does not win the B12 that will steal a spot. I think Oregon, Oklahoma, Vandy can play their way in but it will not be easy. I would not be surprised if all three get left out. I think that is more likely than all three winning out.

If things break right, I think Texas could sneak in. They need to beat A&M and a lot of help though. Similarly for GA Tech. If they win out and with help (others losing), they could sneak in.

I think BYU, Utah, Miami all need to win their conference to get in.

Even if Oregon beats USC they could lose to Washington and be left out. USC needs to beat Oregon just to get onto the bubble but that might knock them both out.

I think Oklahoma will make it. If Texas Tech wins the B12 I think it will be Oregon as the last team in. I think the last team out is Tennessee.

But I would not be surprised if it is Texas as the first team out or even last team in. A&M has played no one in the Top 8/half of the SEC standings. How is it possible that they avoided UGA, Ole Miss, Bama, Oklahoma, Vandy, Tennessee in their first 7 SEC games?

$EC corruption was in full effect last night in Oxford, MS. Florida just made a goal line stand and is down 3 with 2:36 to go. The Gators pass on first down and Ole Miss gets flaged for pass interference. Not as obvious as the LA Rams vs NO Saints NFC title game but looks legit as the defender gets there a hair early. After a conference and a Sankey phone call explaining we don't need Ole Miss losing this game to 3-6 Florida the refs pick up the flag. Florida ends up turning ball over on downs and Ole Miss scores a TD to clinch the game. I was not complaining as I had the Rebels as a leg of a money line parlay. You have to include what the leagues want to happen as part of your handicap.

It was fourth down. He’s just an idiot. Even addazio was ripping him.
Yeah I know, I’m saying if it was a first down it wouldn’t have been fourth down. Bc it was close. So if it was a first down after a review or something, they could have run another play and possibly score a touchdown.

That’s what he must have been thinking.

My guesses -- UNC keeps Bill. But Md likely doesn't keep Locksley, BUT will there be enough good candidates to replace him?

3? I saw an article this morning that said the ACC may get ZERO. It claimed that the winner of the top 5 conferences does not guarantee the ACC a spot if the winner of a non P4 conference is ranked higher in the CFP standings. In fact it said 2 nonP4 conferences may beat out the ACC. Does anyone know if this is true? If this happens, Miami may the ACC's only hope as an at large selection, possibly based on its win over ND. Not great for the ACC. And Clemson & FSU will blame everyone else.

Anyone would be better. If they want a HC there is Franklin or Chesney. Silverfield, Golesh, Sumrall aren't good fits but they are out there for the taking. Mullen? Dickert? HCRE probably ruined any chance for Mora. Not sure why this cycle OCs and DCs don't seem to be mentioned. Guys like Hartline, Stein, Knowles. Would they consider Reich?

I don't think they are going to have a problem finding a guy.

Top 5 conference ranked champs get in. For the ACC not to make it is pretty much impossible now. They will be ahead of everyone, even the best G6 JMU. AAC and MWC are too far behind.
