Freshman or not Erv looks like the best natural running back of the 5. Sure he may have some work to do when it comes to pass blocking, but if we're talking about pure running back Erv is the guy. There were a few carries where he showcased amazing vision. The way he saw an opening, stuck his foot, and made an ankle breaking cut, was just beautiful. Other then maybe Morris to a lesser extent you just don't see that from any of the other backs. Erv has that electricity, and potential game breaking ability that the other 4 don't have. It's going to be interesting to see how he is worked into the rotation. Shafer always talks about competition, and how the best guy will play. Well let's see if he lives up to that because true Freshman or not, Erv should get his fair share of carries.

in looking around the rule seems to be 60 for NCAA games with 72 for ACC league games and 105 for bowl games.
