doesnt appear to be any changes. may as well not release one.

Looks like the only change (unless I missed this last week) is Elmore at backup DT over Grosvener.

Did Elmore play any DT against NC State? I didn't see him, but hard to keep track of it on TV.

Yes he played a decent amount. Seems to be strictly a four man rotation at this point with Ruff, Black, Elmore and Harper.

I remember him running off the field at the end of one defensive series, so I believe so.

Thank you wonderful people. I need to pay more attention and stop typing so much in the game thread.

On the bright side...

I had thought Black was a senior.

i’ll be really disappointed if Cordy plays over scoop and stritz for several reasons

outside of the DE's there is nothing that isnt very replaceable next year.

Start with Pat Davis over Alexander and If Bergeron's red shirt is blown, try him. Really and truly what have they got to lose?
I would assume the staff has tired both of them and have zero faith in it getting any better but yeah you are right not much to lose lol.

A couple minor changes on Syracuse’s Week 8 depth chart (Pittsburgh):

Chris Elmore replaces Shaq Grosvenor as NT2

Antwan Cordy is listed at corner with Eric Coley playing both safety positions

Nothing significant. This is really just reflective of what SU did vs. NC State.

If you think that Tommy is running for his life now behind our 5 best available linemen, what could go wrong with playing back ups?
Well then I guess this will be his situation for the next three years because after Adams and Alexander exhaust their eligibility, who is going to replace them? If you remember back about week 2-3, Babers stated that between weeks 4-6, they would know if the offensive line combination was right or if they had to make a change. Let me ask you a question. In any way shape or form, is this combination working? This entire group is not very good. Then that means every single offensive lineman on this team is sub par. Lets switch to defense for a second as an example of what I am talking about in trying something new. Curtis Harper was absolutely buried by this staff. Not in the two deep, played in I think one game before this year. He is a red shirt sophomore. Now Bear gets hurt and he gets his shot. Tell me how you think he has done. Two sacks, 8 total tackles, deflected a pass for an interception last Thursday. Give some of these other guys a shot. If they are that much worse why did you recruit them. You do realize that by continuing to play the same offensive lineman every week, you as a recruiting and coaching staff are admitting that you have whiffed on every recruit other than these five that aren't getting it done either.

I've been saying this for weeks. Is Duerig that bad? I don't get it
Put Duerig at center move Serva to tackle sit Vet or Alex. Serva is way too light at center. He gets blown up and doesn't allow Tommy to step up. Duerig has 55 pounds on Serva.
Duerig was injured in Fall Camp.

It is going to be interesting so see who we put at corner opposite CF. Im assuming Trill will be relied on heavily at Nickel vs Pitt with Coley in for Cisco.
