holy moly, kinda glad no upstate ny city that we know and love made that list. Quite the opposite really based on all the ranking that have come out the last few years, thankfully. Anyway the one city on there that is for sure horrible was Augusta, GA What a crap hole. As when I visited there it was and remains one of the biggest surprises of my life expecting it to be all nice like the celebrated golf course there. Horrible.

The fact you pull into the course off a street that had the literal feel of the deserted crappy erie blvd of today will also remain one of the biggest shocks of my life.

My sister travels all over Georgia for a statewide trade association and she said the same exact thing about Augusta that you did.

You've done it again SWC. Finding a great read. This was extremely interesting.

Quora sends me a list of articles each day - actually multiple times a day. It's like the sorcerer's apprentice.

I've gotta look into that!

I once had a meeting at Campbell’s Soup (HQ) in Camden. Going to lunch, 11:30am, made a wrong turn out of their gated lot. Lots of kids standing around, playing basketball, smoking weed. I asked why. Campbell’a guy said, “Dude it’s Camden.”

Gary of the East, as bad as East St Louis or Pine Bluff Arkansas.

Camden has actually gotten better in the last decade (although this is relative, it’s still not a “safe” city). Back in the 90’s was peak crime rate for the city, but now its back down to 1960s levels.

Having said that, the only two places I’ve ever been where I felt extremely unsafe are Camden and Brentwood, NY.

Quora has a lot of interesting posts like this one but there is a lot of garbage on there as well, especially the political stuff. You can tell that a lot of the questions asked on there are loaded to generate a very specific and opinionated response.

I get all kinds of E-Mails from the Quora Digest. They are all click-bait but some are more interesting than others. Some are absurd. I decided to keep track of the funniest ones:
