We'll never win another game and are a terrible football team

Honestly just don’t get the psychology behind negative posts on a fan based message board. We’re all disappointed with the results from the first half of the season but does it help at all to spew critical comments about the program? What’s the benefit?

I think it has to do with the destruction of hope. We have been bad for so many years and last year we felt a resurrection. However we now realize that our hopes are dashed and we fall over the cliff back in the hole of despair. Unfortunately this recognition evokes exclamations that all sucks. No it doesn’t help. But it’s a natural response.

Progress is not linear. I trust Dino to figure it out. Maybe not in time for this season. But i do expect a coaching staff shakeup this spring. Cavanaugh out and maybe Lynch/Martin.

Agreed there. Dino accomplished what seemed to be nearly impossible many times in the previous 2 decades last season, so I’ve got a ton of faith in him. Even the best coach can have a team that disappoints.

I think he will figure it out. As others have pointed out, he’s entering new territory for himself at this point too. He’s not perfect. He’s proven to be a good football coach though, and he seems to “get” Syracuse. Also seems to be a smart guy with integrity, and certainly has charisma.

Fans hopefully will keep supporting the program and let him work through what is shaping up to be the first disappointing season he’s had here. The renovated Dome and $25 million gift haven’t even taken effect yet. Let’s not get hung up on the guy kicking a friggin FG instead of going for it, like that really means anything important.

I don’t care what the record was those first two seasons...coming from where we were coming from, that was about the best we were capable of at this point.

Just because this guy drastically raised the ceiling for this program last year doesn’t mean we turn on him at the first disappointment.

In “real” games, this team has been awful so far, so I’m not so sure we’re not “awful”.

Hopefully we can at least win a couple home games against P5 league opponents. I’d like to think we would’ve played a little better and beat NC State at home? Definitely not a certainty though. Can we at least beat BC and Pitt? If not, then yeah...we’re awful.

I don’t get to go to the dome that often so relish being in the area. Losses hurt less when I’m more distant, but I love being here in the fall...

we all disappointed with the results so far, the offensive line is killing the offense which has been magnified by tommy not being eric and making something out of nothing with his legs. I think coach is taking long term strategy with the o line and hoping they get better as the year progresses as we all know olines work better after continuity but they have to play much better for us to win more than 6 games.

They didnt decide the game but that ref crew has screwed us every game they have officiated against us since joining the league

I personally can't wait to cheer on the team on friday
