So we're all settled in to the house we're renting in Las Vegas this weekend, and wouldn't you know, even though the house boasts having DirecTV, apparently they're on the plan that doesn't get any sports channels. So, me.

Does anyone have a feed for the game? The internet here works just dandy.

Issue is... my wife is taking our one and only car here to the spa with her sister, who is nannying for us this weekend. I'm back at the house with our son. This all was intended to work out perfectly.

There is some truth to that. Some of my best childhood memories involve near monthly trips to Atlantic City. I was definitely the only 9 year old sucking down raw clams and oysters with his dad at the raw bar at Resorts.

What worked for me in the past.

Get someone you know whose internet provider carries ESPN to set up an ESPN account and authorize remote log in. Haven't done this in a couple years but I set up the account from my inlaws and still allows me to watch.

It's on ESPN 2... That's basic tier DirecTV, channel 209.

Tried asking about that. No.

OK, so here's the awesome thing - I called DirecTV to see about "refreshing" the service as advised by the screen telling me why I wasn't getting ESPN2. So I explain the situation, and they tell me they can't refresh the service for me because I'm not the account holder, and because, oh by the way, the owners owe back charges on the service. This is why I'm getting a handful of channels on their tv.

So, I emailed the owners and said - hey, get this done ASAP. I'm not confident anything is going to come of this.

Is there a management company managing the property or is it just individuals? Either way it's not what you expected when you paid all that money. I would let them know that you are canceling your check or disputing the CC charges if I were you.
