Well that didn't decide a thing.

Of course something was said. K said on his halftime interview that they had 7 and Wisky only had 2. You knew they would go the other way in the 2nd half. The 2 calls that are the worst are the 2 missed out of bounds. Totally inexcusable. Led to 5 points

Exactly. They realized their mistakes once K chastised them and fixed things in the second half.

So many missed calls. Out of bounds, tips off of Duke players. Just awful.

It's nice to have the best players in the game, but it really helps when you get the calls too.

What is clear is that despite the hype of UK Duke clearly had the most talented team in the country. Jones has some CP3 in him and Okafor reminds me of Duncan. As good as wisky is Duke outclassed them. You factor in the bull Winslow , Jefferson the glue and then having Allen and Cook as extra pieces and it makes it obvious. Extremely well put together team.

Duke probably does have the best players. UK has the athletes, but not the best players.

Congratulations Duke. Go ACC. The best team won tonight. Duke is the most versatile team in the country and they do a great job of taking advantage of mismatches. Now, I hope they all go pro!

The "Duke factor" is worth a 55-45 edge most nights. It's just in everyone's heads that "Duke is the best" and it shapes the game, for they get the benefit of the doubt more often than anyone else. You could see it clearly in that display by Grayson Allen. Choirboy face, running his ass off, doesn't matter that he's initiating the contact because "Duke" is on his shirt and everybody knew it was time for the Duke run, so step in line.

I'll never understand how anyone who has any kind of conscience can root for Duke.

that's hardly traitorous. I have liked Wisc's team this year but I have no deep love for the program in general, and less reason to root for any B1G team. I respect Duke & K, sue me.

I was a huge Big East fan and secondarily rooted hard for all conferencemates except 1

I'm not in love with where we are now, but we there

#goACC

And you can definitely attribute that to coaching. Talent and athleticism was there but the intensity and approach of Duke the 2nd half of the season and tourney was extremely impressive.

Does it matter that he was getting fouled? Was there one call he got that wasn't legit? That kid played great.

And they got the benefit of the review because all the officials have to say was it was inconclusive even though they watched the same replays we all saw the back change course when it hit Winslows finger

I thought it obvious Winslow's finger touched the ball.

Do all 3 refs have to agree about the call to reverse it?

Wow, Ryan just went all in on how bad the refs were in Duke's favor tonight.

Predictably, Ryan whines about the officiating in his post-game interview

Holy crap. Gumbel called Ryan classy and gracious after that? Gumbel must be deaf.

I saw at least three plays I disagreed with. He twice launched himself into the D on a drive and threw his head back, "Duke boy gets call." He did the same thing to Nigel Wright on that loose ball - they were both leaning on each other, Allen goes for a cartwheel, "Duke boy gets call." Tyus Jones did the same thing in the second half - launching himself into the defender, "Duke boy gets call."

I thought Allen certainly took the contact to out of position defenders scrambling to get in his way which is still a foul on the defender.

The sideline okay he was grabbed while in front of the wiski kid but he did conbat roll on his own.

If the offensive player is initiating the contact, it's difficult to see how the defender, position or no, created a disadvantage. Just IMHO, old amigo.:)

Agreed. Especially when the defender is staying straight up and down. Disappointed.

If Dekker was Dekker Wiscy would have won. He really looked like he was throwing the game. Maybe FBI should investigate? All of America saw Winslow tip that ball out of bounds, except the three paid monkeys.

Moving sideways with your chest out into the path of the offensive player who has gotten to the side of you and then had an angle to the basket, but holding your hands up and away is how Wiski teaches it. In the NBA its a foul every time without the offensive player having to embellish. The problem is they don't call it without embellishment in college even the its still clearly imoeading the offensive player without establishing position.

Dekker wasn't the same after that shot to the head.
