West Va in another titanic defensive battle

Looks like Sumlin addressed it about as quick as anyone could. Guy is off the sidelines for the second half.

Yep there's no way Sumlin could let him stay on the sidelines.

Mike Richardson is going to get absolutely reamed on the internet for the next few days.

55 total points, but yeah, I can see how the OP's wording made it sound like WVU scored all 55 points.
Mostly I was making a joke about how these things are possible now, albeit seemingly impossible to us Syracuse fans. :noidea:

With social media nowadays, I just don't know why someone would even do this. This guys is going to be lucky to find another job in this field. I can't see Sumlin keeping him.

The same reason it could have happened 15 years ago, the guy is an idiot who can't control his emotions. He wasn't thinking about the repercussions of what he was doing, he just simply did it.

There's no defense to what he did, but he wasn't a full time assistant. He was a player who had his career cut short by injury who became a student assistant coach.

Yeah, I read that. Are you saying his unrelated past circumstances will give him an excuse on his next interview.

Good question. Absolutely not. Sometimes I forget that people on here can't read my mind and I didn't complete my thoughts. I was just trying to convey that Sumlin can't fire him in the traditional sense of firing a full time assistant coach. But his days as a player assistant should be over and I think his medical scholarship should be revoked. (I assume that's allowed if the reason is conduct related.) I would think having him pay his way if he wants to finish his Texas A & M education is appropriate. One time is bad enough but for him to do it twice is ridiculous. And it's not like there was even a skirmish in the sidelines. He just took it upon himself to start hitting WV players for no apparent reason.
