they beat florida a couple years ago too. 6 national championships in 1AA, fcs, whatever the call it

It was the beginning of the end for Muschamp (it was already rough sailing before then).
GA Southern has done a good job transitioning from FCS to FBS.
Some other GA schools have recently started programs:
- GA State, now also in the Sun Belt
- Kennesaw State (home of next year's ACC lax championship) is starting their FCS program this fall as an associate member of the Big South Conference

11-3 Ga Tech needed a TD in the final minute to beat them by 4 last year. Not many passes thrown in that one
