I thought Georgetown was left off the schedule this year?

Well if we win the BE there will be no arguement that we are the top dog considering we get UConn and Lville twice. Last two games more than likely decide the regular season conference champs one way or another.

Everybody plays each team at least once. People were complaining when the schedule was released that SU-Gtown is not a home-and-home, merely just a single game.

The schedule looks to get a little bit harder as the year goes on... sort of like last year. Doesn't really set us up for much momentum heading into the postseason, but every team controls their own destiny right now. Louisville at the Dome to kick off March 2012... gonna be a war.

Not worried about this schedule.

this will be a telling stretch

Gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up for me!!

Only 1 saturday noon game, last year we had about 5.

A few odd start times, 5pm, 630pm, a couple of 6pms.

the problem with those game times is that they rarely coincide with the traditional ESPN lineup. maybe we'll be seeing more ESPN2/ESPNU games, or ESPN switches up its usual lineup

just a very preliminary run through the schedule, i try to guess what i think the line would be and guess the results from it. basically i think of it in terms of favored by 3 or more is a W, dogs by 3 or more is a L, an anything within 2 is a PICK (50/50).

there you have it 13-5 with a nice shot at 14-4 considering we are better than Pitt or Gtown, but i don't see how we can call rivalry games as any better than pick'ems.

1pm doesn't make it any better.

Best home games to see? Pitt, Gtown, WVU, UConn... all at awful times/dates. Can't even remember our last weekend evening gtown or uconn game.

Ugh, both times UConn and Louisville back to back. The first time is a Sat(Dome)-Mon(@UL). Two weeks in a row in Jan with Sat-Mon games.

I'm not sure if we've had one. I recall Villanova, Louisville, and Pittsburgh as Saturday night games, but Connecticut and Georgetown have customarily been either weekend afternoon games or weekday evening games. And a lot of the weekend ones were either nooners or 2:00 p.m. CBS starts.

Not great times for attendance, but not nearly as bad as last year.
