What to expect? More of the same. A program that can't get out of its own way.

If you think about it, the defense faced the same problems as the offense- more size, speed, talent and depth needed and learning a totally different scheme than they were recruited for. Babers gave us a schedule for the offense - the 4th to the 6th game of the second seasons. You have to wonder why he had no schedule for the defense.

He's said the same thing about the defensive system. I can't find the quote - but will look later.

I think he's smart to downplay the defensive growth. He knows (and we should too) that the stats will not look good compared to our past. A Babers led team will not be breaking any defensive records (maybe the bad ones, like last year).
