Not much. I mean what can we really learn about our team or specifically about Hunt and Allen playing against a team that just got crushed by a D2? The answer is not much as everything is going to work much better than it has in the last two weeks. The focus and grading shouldnt on results. yards gained or touchdowns scored by either guy is going to be irrelevant against this team as everything is going to work but rather did they make the right read? How is the communication? Was this pass although completed against a scrub team the right throw to make? So less on results more on their ability to pick the right read and get the team into the right call effeciently as even bad plays, poor decisions are going to go for big gains.

I don't know about you but I will feel much better with a 72-6 win than a 27-13 one. BLOW THEM OUT. I am so tired of playing inferior opponents in the dome and letting them hang around and this team could be the worst team we have ever played. In fact, it is the worst team we have ever played.

I would like to see Smith and Gulley get a 100 yards a piece because that is what we should do and is the strength of our team, if our O line cant push them around then we should pack it up. I would run HUNT a bunch too.

A win helps build confidence, regardless who it's against. Go out there angry, absolutely hammer this team, and feel good about yourself. That's what I hope they do. Build confidence...from Allen to the last guy on the bench. Winning is contagious. It has to start now.

This game is a bigger game than you think. This is huge for the team to come out and play a full game and finally get into a rhythm. Who cares if it is against the Wagner Seahawks. We should've started off the season against Wagner versus Penn St and NW.

We should've started the season off against Wagner so that we could get into a good rhythm to start the season. Who cares if they are horrible, they are still players you aren't familiar with and haven't practiced with. They aren't the practice dummies the team gets used to over the summer.

It's important to be in a solid rhythm headed into our bye week so that we can continue to work out the kinks headed into the game with Clemson.

We can learn...
Who can remember the plays without having them on a wristband?
Who can make positive yardage on nine out of ten punt returns?
How far into the stands can Norton kick the ball?
How good are Kinder's hands?
How many pushups can those cheerleaders really do?
If we lay out the field from side to side, can we fit the whole crowd behind the blue curtain?

There's plenty to learn.

What about...

What part of the field will the human interception sprinkler throw picks to?
Where will the batted balls land?
What "lucky fan" in the stands will get hit by an out of bounds throw?

You need to step outside and get a bit of air my friend.

I need to step out and get air but Rosco is totally within his rights...must be because he is in the cool club on this board with you.

I think you need to lighten up as well.

We haven't really had the opportunity to do this in recent years against FCS, but if the opportunity does present itself to blow the doors off the Dome, I hope we keep our foot on the gas. Not because I want to show up the FCS, and not because I want to impress any AP voters who might have forgotten our name. But because we have a lot of personnel testing to do. 2nd/3rd teamers like Hunt, Funderburke, Estime, Morris, etc. could all very well be part of THIS year's success.

So don't put the 2nd teamers in and hand the ball to Clay Cleveland on dives just because we find ourselves in the unique position of being up 38-0 in the 3rd quarter. Let these guys get real experience. If anyone says we're classless, who's really going to remember it in a week anyway? (well maybe one week later we can do the same thing, but I know that's getting ahead of myself).

Tom Brady wears a wristband.

Rosco there is only and will only ever be one Boy Wonder and he headed off in the Balogne mobile to Buffalo with the caped crusader

Exactly, it's not on us to stop ourselves from scoring (this is football, not tee-ball and everyone isn't equal). It's on them to stop us from scoring, period.

Get some of these other guys into the offense at full speed, not some half-assed pace to eat the clock.

Let it go already. Good grief.

I am hoping to learn the following:

Is my homemade brew as good for tailgating as my usual Syr Pale Ale?

Will SU students show up when 1/4 of the student body is given free tickets for a 4:00 game with absolutely perfect weather?

Are we really going to see new helmets?

How much have prices gone up since last year?

Can the 'Wand Team' prevent 30 minute lines from forming at the doors?

Will there be new bouncy houses for the kids?

So yeah we can learn alot this Sat. As for what we can learn about the team? I'd say nothing. Sorry, not being pessimistic at all. It's just that in 2002 we beat the R.I. Rams 63-17, probably our biggest butt kicking we've put on a FCS team(D1AA back then), and finished the season 4-8 in P's worst year as HC. Last year we beat Stony Brook 28-17, then finished 8-5 with a share of the BE title and Bowl win. So yeah, I don't expect to learn anything real as far as the team is concerned. At least not on Sat. It's a chance for the coaches and players to become more comfortable in a game environment and I hope they take full advantage.
